The National - 2 covers

The National’s latest cover version finds them reworking Isham Jones and The Ray Miller Orchestra’s 1924 song “I’ll See You in My Dreams” for last night’s episode of Boardwalk Empire. Accompanied by Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks, the band maintain the original’s quaint, old-timey aesthetic, with frontman Matt Berninger busting out a particularly forlorn baritone that imbibes the song’s message of romantic reunion with a steady undertone of gloom.

Even Bob's Burgers' Belcher family takes a day off from flipping and eating hamburgers on Thanksgiving to down some turkey. On this Sunday's episode, the matriarch, Linda, is so excited that she created a very joyous yet tragic song for holiday.
