Morrissey live @ Grand Rex

Un bon concert hier soir, avec un Morrissey plutôt en forme, même si pas très causant. Une set-list très axée sur le dernier album. Une version revisitée de Meat is Murder. Et un final formidable (Asleep ; Suedehead ; Everyday; excusez du peu !)
Pas de 1ère partie (c'est vrai qu'à 80 euros la place, cela n'était pas envisageable. mais en fait j'ai apprécié), des vidéos toujours aussi ringardes.
Et on a échappé à How soon (ouf !).

Three weeks after the release of Morrissey's World Peace Is None Of Your Business (#2 UK, #14 US), Capitol Records/Harvest have ended their relationship with Morrissey, as directed by label boss Steve Barnett.
Morrissey is once again in search of a record label.

Morrissey a donc signé un nouveau contratavec Harvest Records et enregistre son prochain album en France. Le producteur est un certain  Joe Chicarelli.

Meanwhile, Morrissey's autobiography is getting a hardback gift edition, according to official fansite True to You. Available December 5 through Penguin Classics, it'll be in full color with a bunch of new photos, accompanied by a complete Morrissey discography. It'll also have a different cover.

Un hommage sonnant et trébuchant - Morrissey

Parlophone Records will release Satellite of Love by Morrissey as a digital download on December 2nd. Recorded live at the Chelsea Ballroom at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas on 25 November 2011, the release will be further available in January as a heavyweight 12-inch disc and a 7-inch picture disc, supported by additional live tracks.
Satellite of Love is, of course, a song written by Lou Reed, who died on 27th October.

"The digital download of Morrissey's Satellite of Love on November 29 will be followed in January by the release of Satellite Of Love (Live) 7" picture disc, 12" heavyweight vinyl and three-track digital downloads, all featuring You're Gonna Need Someone On Your Side from Your Arsenal and previously unreleased live tracks. Parlophone have also said more Morrissey news will be announced soon."

Morrissey : Kill Uncle remasterisé + Single

Cela avait été annoncé il y a quelques mois, le 2ème album solo de Morrissey est remasterisé.


This new version of Kill Uncle has a re-ordered tracklisting and, with the addition of the songs 'Pashernate Love' and 'East West' (a Herman's Hermits cover), as well the 'live in studio' version of 'There's A Place In Hell For Me And My Friends', the album has a revitalised quality, which accentuates some of its more subtle, experimental qualities and nuances; in particular, some of the more unusual musical styles which Morrissey explored for the first time.


Kill Uncle has been remastered by Bill Inglot at D2 Mastering. It will be available as a gatefold CD and heavyweight gatefold LP. The picture disc single and album will both feature rare Morrissey photos and Kill Uncle will have a new cover. The artwork will be unveiled soon.
